Infinium Ale - $20.99
Product Description
-
Infinium is the first beer from the collaboration between Boston Beer Co. and Germany’s Weihenstephan Brewery. The most unique feature about this beer is the bottle. Infinium comes in a foil-capped 750mL corked bottle more closely resembling a Spanish cava than a craft brewed beer. Once you get past the cork, Infinium pours a clear, dark amber and you can immediately detect both bready and malty aromas. A deeper sniff shows some spice and citrus. The flavor of this beer is full of malt with only hints of breadyness. The mouthfeel and body are light from the start to the short dry finish. Sam Adams set out to make something truly unique and, with Infinium, they've certainly achieved that. Their final batch (formulation has been tweeked since our initial review) should satisfy beer lovers looking for malty flavors and surprise them with a dry, clean champagne-like finish. Infinium’s premium look and feel, reasonable price tag and crisp clean flavors make it a great choice for this year's holiday events.

| US Beer |
The United States is the largest brewer of beer in the world. It's big-name lagers are famous the world over. Recently, micro-brews have sprung up in an effort to meet the demand for beer variety. The micro-brew market is still small, but is growing all the time. America is the home of light beer, first brewed by Miller in 1975. Today, a majority of the best selling beer in the United States is light. |
| Microbrew |
Microbrews are produced by relatively small breweries who make fewer than 50,000 barrels of beer per year. Microbreweries create specially-crafted beers that are often superior to the large-production beers, primarily due to their high-quality ingredients and careful brewing methods. |
| Ale |
Ales are generally fruity, complex and full-bodied beers that are best when served at cool temperatures. |
